Bitch Post #5: Use Spell Check People!!!

I'm so disgusted, I'm about to explode!!! I was on Art Fire (when am I not on Art Fire?) reading the forums when I constantly came across threads with blatant misspellings. Maybe they weren't so blatant to the authors, but this just burns me up! Grown-ass people who can't spell or take the time to proof their thoughts before hitting the send button need to not even bother writing. The sad thing is there's a built-in spell-checker in the box! I won't even talk about listings with multiple misspellings. I will immediately leave your shop. I'll give grammatical errors a pass because I'm guilty of them myself sometimes. But I do make a point to read my stuff before listing or posting. If you ever find a misspelling in one of my product listings, please let me know!!!

Okay, I'm getting off my soapbox. My blood pressure has already gone down 10 points just by posting this. Have a good Saturday (what's left of it anyway!)

What u meen..i speell check ...lolol

i'm just playing with you.. I am guilty of this myself sometimes.. sometime folks just get so excited, or are in a rush that they may overlook or even miss the misspelling. And frankly, sometimes the damn spell check doesn't work! LOL.

oh so is that why you haven't bought from me yet??- just teasing.

Great post. Thanks for sharing.

Be Well,

Ny

I feel your pain. If I see a shop with tons of misspelled words it turns me off. I figure if they are that careless with their listings they probably are pretty careless with their products. If you get a chance please stop by my blog and pick up an award.

I'm recently rethinking this.I'm generally a spelling/grammar fascist, but I'm finding- particularly in creative circles, good spelling is not as easy as some would like to think. I have now started giving a two word grace (3 if one is likely a typo) more than that and it's a bust.

I hope your pressure is at a reasonably comfortable level and remains that way for the rest of the weekend.

I can not spell! I have never been able to spell. That is why spell check is my friend!!! I love spell check and it is one of the main reasons I use FireFox. So even though I cant spell I agree with you 100%.
