The Poor Soap Maker's Custom Stamp

I was stalking one of my favorite soap blogs the other day, and I came across a photo of a soap with an impression of the word "soap" which looked like it was handwritten or etched in the soap rather than stamped. "How cool!" thought I...I'm totally stealing that, and stole I did! I love it! I'm owning it! I can't afford a custom soap stamp right now, so I thought I'd convey either the scent or the experience of the soap by etching it in by hand. Good thing I've got good penmanship...

ps...Thanks Amy for the lovely blog award. I really appreciate it, and I accept it with love and pride:)

I don't use bar soap (I use a liquid body wash) but I have become addicted to reading about your soap making...and I like the photos. My husband likes these fancy soaps so whenever we are at a crafts fair we always wind up buying some handmade soap - anything that is moisturizing - he likes goat milk soap.

Haha, I think if I attempted to hand etch anything into my soap it may look like a serial killer had made them. Sadly i type too much and write too little for nice penmanship. L:( Boo! But nice work, like the look of it carved in the soap instead of the usual stamped look!
