It was cold. It was wet. It was nasty. It was delightfully unpleasant. It was the annual Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair (that sounds so Jr. High School-ish to me) hosted by the Washington City Paper and sponsored by none other than Etsy. Of all the days to rain, it would be the day of the festival, and it would be on the first of the month. Don't they know I have rent to pay?! We only stayed about an hour. It was just too wet and gross for my liking. My hair was a hot mess, and my patience was thinner than Naomi Campbell's hairline. Here are a few pics I snapped with my iPod. Hopefully next year, we'll have nicer weather...and nicer vendors. I'll blame it on the rain, but when you're trying to sell your wares, a smile and a hello will get you a lot farther and quite possibly a sale. Just sayin....

Ugh. I hate it when the weather doesn't cooperate for a show! At least you got to run around and see some great products! Hope things go better next time for you!
"my patience was thinner than Naomi Campbell's hairline. " Stop. I bought fell out laughing! Her hairline is a hot mess.
I'm sorry the festival got rained out! Are they going to refund you all or set it for another date? That would be nice.
*Biggs & Featherbelle and Herban Lifestyle have some beautiful packaging. :)
Hey Ladies!
I did not have a booth. I was a spectator and shopper only. Ironically, I applied a couple of years ago when I first started out and was turned down. I now consider it divine intervention. I'm sure under sunnier, drier skies, the event would have been a lot more enjoyable for everyone.
That's too bad about the rain. :( It looks like there was still a lot of neat stuff to see, though!
Girl, your humor is endless. Its been a while since I've checked you out, but I did not forget about you. Just been extremely busy trying to get my business off the ground. You're still on my FB page though.
Sorry to hear this about the craft fair. You're so right...a smile & politeness goes a long way.
Welcome a new follower because I need some laughs to brighten up my sometimes hectic days. Keep em' in stitches...lol.
