Informal Poll: I'm Just Curious..

I just wanna know why you visit this blog? If you're an Entrecard dropper, there's no need to reply. I'm looking for those who actually visit often because they like to see what I'm up to. Do you read this blog because you're interested in soap making or do you just want to see what I'm talking about now? Okay, I'll confess: I bought one of those I'll evaluate your online presence and tell you how you can improve, blah, blah, blah... services, and one of the feedback I got was that my blog was not very interesting to the "non-soap maker" and that I should cater toward my target audience (Okay, that's another lesson: Who is my target audience?)

So, if you would take a moment and just let me know why you visit, I'd really appreciate it:)

ps-This is my 500th post: Holy Shit! I really do run my mouth for someone who's actually very shy in person.

I stop by your blog to read about your wonderful soap creations and to view the great pics that you post.
I also like your sense of humor!

I don't aspire to target anyone with my blog. It really is for my personal enjoyment.

I stop by because I'm a soapmaker...but I think you already know that.

I think your blog should be for your fun and enjoyment too.

I stop by because you have interesting stuff on your blog and I am a fellow soap maker.

I stop by because I like seeing your soap creations. I found you through Entrecard but that isn't why I visit. Remember, you can't please everyone all the time. Just write about what you want to and enjoy it!

Oh, and thank you for hosting my Entrecard ad today!

I visit because I'm secretly jealous of creative people because projects only come out right in my head.

In 2004 I had a disastrous afternoon trying making soap so I like seeing how the pros do it.

I'm not sure who(to whom?) the program thinks a soapmaker's blog should target but I would think it would be soapmaking people or people like me that appreciate creative people.

If you're happy that's all that matters. The only difference I see is that a few blogs also post about the business side of selling homemade products.

Thanks everyone! I'm glad you find some value in this blog whether you're a soap maker who needs a little inspiration or you enjoy reading about the process. Keep on coming back! I'm not changing a thing! yet...heehee

My visits are kinda complicated:

First it was just for the EC drop.

However, since I spend time to actually LOOK at the blogs I'm dropping on, I began to become interested in your soaps. Your blog then made it to my favorites list on EC.

So then I started catching more in-depth posts, and then I started visiting to drop, your soaps and your ramblings!

So, you see, it's a complicated blog-love :)

I visit because I love your sense of humor...and the soap too-but I'm always poor-you know the artist thing. A gal can dream though, yes?

Hey Patrice you asked a very clear pointed question for good response. I like that. that's alos one reason why I visit you. I like your spunky attitude and to see what's cookin in your soap kitchen. I don't make soap anymore, but I still like to see whats going on in soapmaking. also Blacksoapers are more plentiful now than when I started 10 years ago; and it's nice to see how the art is developing in our community.

btw, you know we market specialty soaps at our shop in cumberland mall, in atlanta. wanna talk ?
hit me up.

I started visiting your blog through Entrecard, but I read your blog regularly because your posts are interesting. I don't make soap myself but I enjoy reading about all sorts of creative endeavors. I also enjoy your sense of humor and general blogging style.

I have a little frustrated with my lack of Etsy sales lately and as a result, have been pondering who my target audience is as well. I don't think it's my blog readers. I've met a lot of great people through my blog and gained other valuable things through it like feedback. It is most likely something that I will continue doing even if it doesn't get me a lot of sales. I believe that there is more to Etsy and its community than just sales.

I do drop EC while I'm here, but your blog is on the list of those I'd follow EC or no EC (and several of the blogs on that list actually HAVE dropped out of EC - and I still visit). Mainly, I'm sort of addicted to seeing what you're doing soap-wise! I mean, some of it looks so good it's almost like soap porn! It looks so yummy, I'd want to eat it if I didn't know it was soap. Your non-soap posts are cool too. And you're clearly a cat and an animal person, which is always a HUGE plus in my book!

I originally came across your blog through EC and I'm glad I did :) I continue to visit you because I love seeing what kind of soaps you will make next. And your sense of humor is great. I love reading what you have to say next.

I stop by to see your latest creations. Course, I drop too, but I like seeing what you've created next :)

I think you sell EC short, sure we start out just dropping for credit, but if you have an interesting blog(which you do) it doesn't take much to make the jump onto my daily visits list. I don;t make soap, but I like to read about all kinds of things.
